Accounting Specialist

Looking for a knowledgeable Payroll/ Accounting Specialist to process and manage company payroll and assist in processing general ledger transactions.

Accounting Specialist Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $28.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Process bi-weekly payroll using Paychex or other software.
• Enter payroll data into the general ledger system.
• Track and manage vacation and sick leave accruals.
• Enroll employees in benefits programs and facilitate deductions.
• Assist in reconciling additional balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in posting adjustments to the general ledger.

Accounting Specialist Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist and Accounting Clerk
• Experience with Paychex is a plus or a similar payroll software
• Understanding of payroll regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree in accounting is a plus

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
